Nuno Alvim
Nuno Alvim is the board director of the Portuguese Vegetarian Association. He has a master’s degree in law and Criminology. He´s been engaged in active lobbying and campaigning for promoting the right to plant-based meals in public facilities. His petitioning work has resulted in the approval of ground-breaking legislation for the provision of strict vegetarian food in public canteens.
Helen Nilsson
Helen Nilsson is a project manager at the environment department of the city of Malmö, focusing on projects relating to sustainable food, urban gardening and nature based solutions. She has worked with the implementation of Malmö’s policy for sustainable development and food since 2010.
Jimmy Pierson
As former lawyer and journalist for The Telegraph newspaper, Jimmy founded the pioneering School Plates programme in 2018 with the non-profit organisation ProVeg UK. With two young daughters, Jimmy cares passionately about making school food healthier and more sustainable by increasing the quantity and quality of plant-based options in schools.
Claudio Pomo
Claudio is a long time vegan and activist, and since 2011 co-founder and development manager of Essere Animali, an italian organization focused on the rights of farmed animals and the transition to a plant-based food system. Through an expanding Food Policy department he is managing a project focused on training workers and reduce the amount of animal proteins in canteens both of companies and universities.
Siska Pottie
Siska Pottie is an experienced public affair professional and founder of Fjutjer BV, a consultancy guiding organizations through transitions. She has +20 years of experience in Regulatory, Medical, Public and European Affairs and in international association management. With an academic background and Ph.D. in food and agronomy she exercised the functions of Medical and Public Affairs Director at Nutricia and Danone.

Shireen Kassam
Dr Shireen Kassam is a Consultant Haematologist, Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician and Visiting Professor of Plant-Based Nutrition. She is founder of Plant-Based Health Professionals UK, a community interest company that provides education on healthy plant-based diets. Her first book, Eating Plant-Based, Scientific Answers to Your Nutrition Questions, co-authored with her sister Zahra, was published in January 2022. She has also co-edited the textbook Plant-Based Nutrition in Clinical Practice, published in September 2022.
